There could be several reasons why Acquire fails to complete in ArcSoft MediaImpression 2. It could be due to compatibility issues, corrupted software, or lack of storage space. Try updating the software, reinstalling it, or freeing up storage space on your computer. If the issue persists, you may need to contact ArcSoft support for further assistance.

Will 2.0 work on Windows 10? Right now, I wish I would have never updated.

Stephen Prastman
Answer by Stephen Prastman

Media Impression is compatible only with the following versions of Windows: Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. There is also version 3.5.XXXX but that is recommended to be installed only on the mentioned Windows versions above. As you can see, MediaImpression 2.0 won't be compatible with Windows 10 OS.

The version you have does not work on Windows 8, but you can download a new and improved version of this application from its official website. The version of MediaImpression is now 3.5.0.1124. Officially, it does not have support for Windows 8, but it will work because it's fully supported on Windows 7 on both architectures.

I need to know if ArcSoft MediaImpression software is compatible with Canon cameras. I do not want to purchase the software if I can't use it to edit my photos, videos, and create discs from my Canon product.

Answer by Sean Hill

No, the application won't work with Canon cameras, however, if you access the product page for your Canon camera, there should be applications available to edit the content captured with the Canon camera. Access the Canon Support page and identify your camera, then download the utilities and tools available for the product. You should be able to edit photos, videos, as well as to create discs.

How can I change the entire background color of a photo? I want the background to have a single color. Is this possible?

A
Answer by Aiden McLeod

Unfortunately, the program doesn't have a feature that can do this automatically. You can use the available features under the Edit menu and do this by yourself. To use the editing tools, first you need to select a photo. If you have problems regarding the program, use the Help menu for more information.
