Media Impression is compatible only with the following versions of Windows: Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. There is also version 3.5.XXXX but that is recommended to be installed only on the mentioned Windows versions above. As you can see, MediaImpression 2.0 won't be compatible with Windows 10 OS.

I do have mediaimpression running on win 10 it was installed when machine was win but still works fine. Have you tried right clicking on the icon and running compatability trouble shooter I found this sorts out 99% of these issues.can emulate both win 7 and win XP.
The version you have does not work on Windows 8, but you can download a new and improved version of this application from its official website. The version of MediaImpression is now 3.5.0.1124. Officially, it does not have support for Windows 8, but it will work because it's fully supported on Windows 7 on both architectures.
Can you tell me where can I find help on how to use my MediaImpression 3.6.1?

To use the editing tools, first you need to select a photo. If you have problems regarding the program, use the Help menu for more information.

No, the application won't work with Canon cameras, however, if you access the product page for your Canon camera, there should be applications available to edit the content captured with the Canon camera. Access the Canon Support page and identify your camera, then download the utilities and tools available for the product. You should be able to edit photos, videos, as well as to create discs.
